The UKHR Cheltenham Festival Competition, 2018

By | 15th March 2018

We’re half way through the four days of the Festival and already we have one clear leader, Students.

Students’ strategy, that of backing the horses which are deemed to be a good thing appears to be working this year. This would only work if it’s not a year of nothing but outsiders. A good number of us are going for value selections and, so far, are failing to grab a winner. But there’s been a close shave or two but until the hot bankers are overturned it seems that Students’ strategy is working.

Watch out for Wit though. He tends to come up with some interesting winners. Anyway, two days to go and fourteen races remaining to catch up.

The racing at the Festival has been good this year; even the Cross Country managed to hold my interest.

Good luck one and all.
