I don’t know why I don’t spend more time looking at the ratings because they show up some interesting selections from time to time. I don’t look for these cherry pick selections every day as I find that they do produce the selections when the racing is quieter and poorer overall. So, for this reason I only tend to look for these in the first few days of the week.
Today I had a bit of time so I flicked through the ratings until I came to the 2.35 Catterick today.
Held up towards rear on outside, headway 3 out, led before 2 out, driven clear flat op 28/1 tchd 33/1
The horse that stood out for me was bottom rated Tyrell. This is what I wrote on the forum before the racing started today.
I think that description tells all that we need to know. Tyrell stood out because of the three underscores and won at 22/1 by almost three lengths. The report on the Sporting Life site describes the horse’s race as “Held up towards rear on outside, headway 3 out, led before 2 out, driven clear flat op 28/1 tchd 33/1”
